WELCOME!
On behalf of the citizens of Highland City, I welcome you to our wonderful community. I am sure you already know that you have settled in a wonderful place. Some may think Highland is nothing more than a spot on the map but if you live in Highland you know it is much more. It is a place where people choose to live together in harmony with people who care about one another and want what is best for one another. It is a special place where you have always wanted to be, a place you want to share. It is home and has always felt that way. Welcome home.
As you pass through Highland you will notice the beauty of the picturesque mountains which surround our community. You will observe that our homes, landscaping and public places are well maintained. You will pass new homes currently being constructed by people like you, who have selected Highland as their home--to live and raise a family. This is the real beauty of Highland.
Highlanders are proud of what has been accomplished since we officially became a city in 1977. As Highland has grown so have the opportunities for added service and participation. Our city has earned a place of respect and admiration among other communities throughout Utah. This is largely due to the many thousands of hours of dedicated volunteer effort given past and present to make our community successful and enjoyable. I invite you to find areas you're interested in serving so all can benefit from your talents and experience. In Highland it is better to give than to receive. We have several committees where citizens serve to make their city better. Please volunteer and be a part by applying at the City building.
Again, welcome home--we're glad you're here. I hope you find the same satisfaction and fulfillment so many of us have found as we have moved here and become involved. I invite you to join us in making Highland an even better place to live.
