- Highland Fling: July 26 - August 2, 2008. Please click here for more information about the Highland Fling. *Highland Glen pond will be closed to fishing July 24 - July 26, 2008 in preparation for the Highland Fling Children's Fishing Derby.
- Free Scout Clinic: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, at Heritage Park. Scouts will work on a variety of rank advancements for 1st Class, 2nd Class and Tenderfoot. Lunch provided. On-line registration will start August 1st for this free event.
Birthday Party in the Park ~ Sponsored by the Highland Arts Council
Come join the Arts Council as we celebrate Highlands 31st Birthday with a Birthday Party in the Park on Saturday, July 12th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. At this free event for the family we will have a bounce house, obstacle course, a slide and Marcus the Clown. Make sure you get a yummy cookie at the end of the evening donated by Craver's Cookies.
Pottery Classes
Kids pottery class for ages 4-15 years old. Come get dirty this summer in our two day pottery class. Learn coil, and slab techniques. Plus learn to make a pot on the wheel. July 14th and 21st, 11:00-12:00 p.m. Cost: $27.
Scout merit badge class (class is FULL, please sign up on the waiting list) ages 11-17 years old. Everything you need to complete the pottery merit badge class. Don't wear your scout shirt as it will get dirty. July 14th and 21st, 5-6:30 p.m. Cost: $27
Girl’s night out class. Calling all mothers and daughters, come for an evening of fantastic fun. Paint your own terra cotta pot, and make your own ceramic wind chimes. July 15th, 7-8:00 p.m. Cost $17 per person.
Each class is limited to 12 people. Registration for Highland Residents will be online ONLY starting 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1st. Once the class is full you may register for the waiting list online and we will add more time slots as the waiting list grows. Non-residents may register on July 2. For more information about these classes, please contact Sherry Hardy at 360-5354. Classes will be held at the home of Sherry Hardy.

If you receive a message that says "There are currently no items available to purchase for this payment type. Please try back again later", this message indicates that registration for classes is not available (you may be logging on too early or the classes may be full).

Scout shirts are required at all scouting events. Please be sure that your scout is wearing his shirt to each class. If he is not wearing his shirt he will be sent home to retrieve it.

Registration for Highland Residents will be on-line ONLY starting 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1st. Non-residents may register on July 2nd. Once the class fills up you will be able to register on-line for the waiting list. Please be sure to include your email address when registering for classes as important information will be emailed to you prior to the class. Scout shirts are required unless otherwise noted. Please do not send your scout to the class without pre-registering or he will be turned away. Once the money is paid there will be no refunds. You may find someone else to take your scouts spot. Though these classes are designed for completion of merit badges for the Boy Scouts of America, anyone between the ages of 11-17 is welcome to take the classes. Requirements must be met in order to receive a signed Merit Badge card. If the class you registered your Scout for is two parts, attendance in both classes is mandatory. If your scout is unable to complete his requirements to pass off his Merit Badge in the class timeframe provided he will need to contact someone in his local troop or district to complete the requirements.
