August 1: Highland Fling Activities All Day at Heritage Park which include: Hot Air Balloons, 5K Fun Run, Lone Peak High School Marching Band Pancake Breakfast, Scottish Heavy Events, Parade, Camp Cabin Tours, Exhibitors & Concession Booths, Kids Games, Fireman’s Spray, Alpine District Scout Expo & Candy Toss, BMX Stunt Team, Heritage Park Stage Entertainment (bands include: Highland Highway, Dyer Highway, Brandie Frampton, Travisty, Taylor Ann Barton, Highland Idol, Eric Dodge, Alex Boye, and VOICE MALE). The evening concludes with a spectacular FIREWORK show behind Mountain Ridge Jr. High School!
Events that have been cancelled this year: Baby Contest, Rodeo, Youth Bike Race, Art Show, Youth City Council Dance. The Fishing Derby has been moved to June 20, 2009. The Youth Fun Runs have been moved to July 29, 2009 as part of the Kid's Night.

Entertainment for 2009 has been scheduled. If you would like to perform at the 2010 Highland Fling please fill out the Highland Fling Entertainment Application. You may submit the application to Highland City, Attn: Highland Fling, 5400 W. Civic Center Drive, Suite 1, Highland, UT 84003. Please include a performance fee schedule, pictures and a song/video sample or a link to the entertainer’s website. The deadline for applications is on or before January 15, 2010. Selected entertainers will be contacted.
