TREE COMMISSION

Tree Commission News

The Tree Commission is looking for volunteers to participate on the committee.  We are looking for people who are interested in improving and beautifying our city with trees.  We would like to have members that represent all areas of Highland so that we can continue to focus on projects that would benefit the city and its residents.  Committee members do not need to have a knowledge of trees, but it would be helpful. If you or someone you know would be interested or would like more information, please contact Emily Gillingwater at (801) 772-4523 or email  emily@highlandcity.org.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

  • Arbor Day Tree planting project
  • Arbor Day Tree Sale
  • City Hall Christmas Tree Decorating (tree and decorations provided)
  • Fall tree planting project
  • Tree care & planting education

Any trees not sold the first Saturday will be available for purchase the next Saturday, May 8. This last day will be open to residents and non-residents. Trees are sold AS IS (no refunds, or exchanges once trees have been purchased).
