 Volunteers Needed for the Tree Commission

The Highland Tree Commission is looking for volunteers to help plan tree planting activities for Arbor Day which will be held in April. If you would like to volunteer please call Ron Jones at 756-7374 or Emily Gillingwater at the Highland City office 756-5751 ext.122.

 Volunteers Needed for Highland City Hooked on Fishin'

Ten adult volunteers, including at least two who are registered fishing merit badge counselors with the Boy Scouts of America, are needed to teach 6- to 13-year-olds about fishing and aquatic resources in Highland. Volunteers will be helping Highland City and the Division of Wildlife Resources with our community fishing program. Volunteers will spend about two hours twice a week, June 3 - June 19, 2008, teaching children about fish by fishing with them at Highland Glen Park.  Fishing classes will b held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
