The purpose of the Events Department is to:
- Develop and implement value-based programs that encourage healthy lifestyles and celebrate the community
- Provide planning and administration for the acquisition, construction, and maintenance of parks, playgrounds, open spaces, and trails
- Provide quality recreational, social, and cultural activities for youth, adults, and families throughout Highland City
