ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS                     

Separate sealed bids for the 2018 - 6000 WEST REHABILITATION  will be received by the HIGHLAND CITY, at Highland City Office, 5400 W Civic Center Drive, Suite 100, Highland, UT 84003 until 5:00 pm (local time) January 30, 2018 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

Description and Scope of Work: The project includes pavement improvements consisting primarily of 330,000 square feet of reconstructed asphalt surface on 6000 West in Highland City.  The work will consist of pulverizing 150,000 square feet of existing asphalt, reshaping and compacting the pulverized asphalt, and placing 4" of new asphalt. Also included is 180,000 square feet of partial depth asphalt milling, and 2" asphalt overlay. There will be additional road work on other roads throughout Highland included in this bid package as additives.  These roads will be added to the overall project as bid prices are compared with the available funding.  The estimated quantity of asphalt is approximately 6,400 tons for the base project.  Other work includes storm drain improvements, concrete curb and gutter/cross gutter replacement, adjusting manhole covers and valve boxes to grade and other items incidental to this type of construction.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held at 9:00 AM on January 9, 2018 at the Highland City Office, 5400 W Civic Center Drive, Suite 100, Highland, UT 84003.  All prospective bidders are required to attend.

Electronic copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be available January 9, 2019 via the Sciquest and the Highland City website. No hard copies will be available during the bidding process. Instructions for accessing the files are as follows:
