Ruby Jubilee Kickoff Event
2017 Ruby Jubilee Kickoff Event

You won’t want to miss the 2017 Highland Fling Kickoff Event.  As we celebrate Highland City’s 40th Anniversary you will get excited to enjoy a week of festivities, discover what a Ruby Jubilee is and what it means to “Celebrate our Past and Look to the Future!”

At this event, we are fortunate to have an amazing combination of music, inspiring words and mixed media presentation by David Dalley Jr.  David, or Bubba, as he was affectionately known by while growing up right here in Highland, is now an Instructional Designer who has been working in media production for almost 20 years. With a B.A. in Choral Music Education from BYU, David’s Music Education path was short lived when he became the Director of Operations and Producer for The Glenn Beck Program.  10 years later he had the unique opportunity of creating and designing an all new internet radio station, YLDSR, that became one of the most listened to inspirational stations in America.  David received an M.S. in Instructional Design & Technology from Full Sail University, which combined all his education and experience into an area which he is passionate about.  He states, “It thrills me to use technology as the foundation of creating effective, efficient and engaging instructional experiences.”

While David did not solely grow up in Highland, it is Highland that he considers home and in his words, “living in Highland was life changing for me.”  His Dalley family roots run deep on the Highland farmlands and his father still lives in Highland today.  David is very excited to “come home” and share the wonderful presentation he has prepared for us.  We welcome David and the community as we begin our Celebration of Highland City’s 40th Anniversary!

Refreshments will be served following the program.
