New Communications Tool

What is Yoppify?

Highland City is thrilled to announce that we are introducing advanced communication tools to ensure you can stay updated, informed, and connected.

Our new suite of tools includes:

Text Messages: Receive instant notifications from us about vital city updates directly to your mobile device (our number will be 385-421-9045). This is a two-way texting service so you will be able to respond back with any questions or concerns. If you wish to unsubscribe from the text messaging service, all you need to do is reply "STOP".

Emails: Important city news, service disruptions, and account information delivered right to your inbox.

Web-chat: Experience real-time interactions with our dedicated city staff. Go to our website and click on the blue chat icon in the lower left of your screen (see videos below)

Phone calls: If you do not have a phone that receives text messages, we will be able to reach you through a phone call via a pre-recorded voice message.

What we will use Yoppify for

We want to assure residents that the City will not sell or share your information with any third parties. Yoppify is for City communications only.

Our new city communication platform enables us to engage with residents on multiple levels. We can send individualized texts to residents, target communications to specific neighborhoods or areas using our customization tools, and reach key audiences like homeowners with PI meters. The system allows for tailored, multi-channel outreach to connect with citizens in the ways that work best for them.

Some examples of things the city might reach out to you about:

• Road closure notices

• Upcoming community events and programs

• Severe weather warnings

• Emergency notifications

• Garbage and recycling schedule changes

• Park and trail closures

• Power or water service interruptions

• Public meeting reminders

• Public safety notices

• Agenda summaries and meeting minutes

• Recreation program registration

• Library event announcements

• Seasonal public works announcements

We want to make sure you receive all the latest news and updates from Highland City. We were able to pre-load your contact information into the new city communication system using our existing utility billing records. By securely integrating these databases, we now have your phone number and email address on file so we can provide seamless enrollment into the new service. Rest assured your information remains private and will only be used to keep you informed about important community updates. Please take a moment to verify your information is up to date (for how to do this, please see videos up top)

Keeping your contact information up to date helps ensure we can reach you with important notices. We aim to make it as convenient as possible for you to customize your communication preferences. As always, we're eager to hear your thoughts on these new initiatives. So, feel free to text us at 385-421-9045, or chat with us at highlandcity.org.
