Highland's Pressurized Irrigation system is specifically designed for outdoor watering. This is non-potable water and should never be used for drinking. The Pressurized Irrigation system is available April 15 through October 15 each year.
Pressurized Irrigation Metering
In order to comply with the recent Utah Legislature’s mandate, Highland City has begun the process of installing meters for pressurized irrigation water. Federal and State grants are covering a majority of the cost of the installation. Water rates will not change until all the meters have been installed. The installation will begin in the northwest area of Highland and the Viewpoint subdivisions Summer 2023. The project is expected to continue through 2025.
Watering Schedule
To help conserve water, and keep the system operating optimally, residents are asked to abide by the following schedule:
- Even Numbered Street Address: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Odd Numbered Street Address: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
- No Sunday Residential Watering, allowing the storage facilities to fill.
- Watering hours shall be from 6:00 p.m. on the assigned day to 10:00 a.m. the following day.
