Highland's Pressurized Irrigation system is specifically designed for outdoor watering. This is non-potable water and should never be used for drinking. The Pressurized Irrigation system is available April 15 through October 15 each year.
Drought Conditions
To date there has been 17% less water usage than last year and 26% less than 2020. Good job, Highland and keep it up! We all need to stay conservation minded as 80% of Utah is still in extreme drought. Remember to only water as needed and take advantage of summer storms or cooler days. When you do water, remember to follow the following water schedule
- Even Numbered Street Address: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Odd Numbered Street Address: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
- No Sunday Residential Watering, allowing the storage facilities to fill.
- Watering hours shall be from 6:00 p.m. on the assigned day to 10:00 a.m. the following day.

Pressurized Irrigation Metering
A law was recently passed requiring all pressurized irrigation (PI) connections to be metered. In preparation for metering, City employees are going throughout neighborhoods documenting the status of the PI boxes on properties. For more information see our PI Metering page.
