Strongman Competition
Friday, August 4 (4:30-8:30pm)
Location - Heritage Park 10400 N. Alpine Hwy
Utah Heavy Athletics (UHA) has organized these competitions for years and will be hosting this Strongman/woman competition featuring athletes from all around who will prove their toughness by performing feats of strength such as overhead pressing, weighted carries, and the “Highland Stones” Challenge. This year we are pairing with Utah Valley Model A Club and will be lifting and pulling classic Model A vehicles in addition to other feats of strength. Various classes of competitors are available for registration.
Cost:
- Free to spectators
- $40 for competitors – save $10 if also registering for the Highland Games Competition

Highland Games
Saturday, August 5 (9-4:30pm)
Location - Heritage Park 10400 N. Alpine Hwy
It has been stated in various histories that Highland was probably named by Scottish immigrants who said it reminded them of their "Beloved Scottish Highlands". In the spirit of honoring that heritage, and the strength of those who settled here.
Join the Utah Heavy Athletics athletes for the Highland Games featuring traditional Scottish events such as the Caber Toss, Weight for Height, Stone Put, Weight for Distance, as well as the State Hammer Championship, and the popular Sheaf Toss for Height.

- $45 for competitors – save $10 if also registering for the Strongman Competition
