John Hamilton & Sarah E Russell Freebairn & Della Freebairn

Another family whose names appear on the records or as Sunday School officials for only a brief period. Their Church membership was received in 1925 and John was a Sunday School teacher in 1926 and 1927 and his daughter, Della, born 1911, was the organist in 1925 and 1926.

John H FreebairnJohn was born March 15, 1877, in Salt Lake City to Archibald and Jane Smith Freebairn. He served in the British Mission from 1903 to 1905, his passport being approved February 10, 1903. He married Gertrude Musser Sheets May 17, 1906, and they had nine children, six survived and the youngest was two when Gertrude passed away February 3, 1920. John married Sarah E Russell on June 21, 1921, and they lived in Salt Lake City until 1925. She was born October 8, 1890, in Salt Lake City to Samuel and Henriette Pratt Russell. He and Sarah had four children and in 1930 were living in Pleasant Grove. John died March 13, 1953, Sarah died May 9, 1962, and they are buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
