John George HarrisMelva Harris

This family spent most of their lives close by but only appears in Highland on the 1930 census. John was born in Pleasant Grove December 12, 1904, to George John and Charlotte Elizabeth Harris. Melva was born August 29, 1908, in Pleasant Grove to Howard B. and Maud May Gardner Warnick. They were married September 3, 1927, and had six children: Warren Jay, Lynn W., George Melvin, Arlene May, Louise Marie, and Karen.

After John died July 3, 1968, Melva married Francis Bray Abel on February 12, 1971. He had been married to Marguerite Hyde Bunker (q.v.) who died in 1970. Francis died in 1976 and Melva died January 1, 1999, in American Fork. She and John are buried in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
