Robert Johnson Stearman & Naomi Wood Kent
Naomi was born September 30, 1894, in Kanarraville, Utah Territory to Henry Elisha and Martha Eliza Babcock Webb Wood. On April 1, 1913, she married Joseph Ammon Ingram, born January 3, 1890, in Kanarraville, Utah to George and Eliza Adaline Roundy Ingram. In 1900 and 1910 Joseph was living in Overton, Nevada. They had six children: Aaron Wood, Eathel, Clive W, Joseph Ashton, Cleo LaVer, and Flowa May and in 1920 they were in Delta, Utah. On March 8, 1924, only a few months after his youngest child was born, Joseph was killed in a coal mine explosion in Castle Gate, Utah. He is buried in the Pioneer Hill Cemetery in Overton, Nevada.
Naomi married Robert Kent on April 13, 1927, and they had six children: Robert Stanley, Hubert (Houston), Betty Jean, Arthur Ray, Jack G, and Billie J. Robert was born March 17, 1895, in Warsaw, Kentucky to William M. Stearman and Liona Davis Kent. In 1930 they were living in Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert was a hard rock miner. They came to Highland around 1934 - 35 and stayed past 1940. They had ten of the twelve children with them at the 1940 census and he was shown as a farm laborer. In 1942, when he registered for the draft, he was working for the WPA. Naomi died April 29, 1984, in Salt Lake City.
