Wilcox

William Oliver & Georgia J Overton Wilcox

On June 26, 1893, Highland was granted a voting precinct by Utah County Court and School District. William Wilcox was appointed a trustee.  William was born January 11, 1868 in Canton, Ohio to Joseph W and Abigail Wilcox.  He married Georgia J Overton in about 1880.  They had at least five children: Gracie M., Millie P., Patricia Lillian, Winona O., and Alexander Humphrey.  William died a homicide by gunshot on May 7, 1910 in Mill Fork (Provo), Utah and is buried in the Provo City Cemetery.
