Check Out

All books and DVD's check out for 3 weeks.  Items can be renewed three times if no one else has placed a hold on them. 

Kits check out for 3 weeks, but cannot be renewed.

There is a limit of 100 items that can be checked out at a time per card.  Children’s cards are attached to parent cards and their checkouts are included in the 100 limit.

There is an outside book drop North of the building. You can drop off books inside at the circulation desk during regular business hours.

Fines / Fees

$.10 per day for books and audio CD’s

$1 per day for DVD’s and Kits

Fines of $10 or more will prohibit borrowing of more items.  

Library cards are free for Highland residents.  Patrons of the Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove and Eagle Mountain libraries can register their cards to be used at  the Highland Library for free and Highland card holders can use their cards at these libraries as well. All others must pay a $70 non-resident fee to use the Library.  Alpine and Cedar Hills reimburse part of that cost to their residents.

E-books and E-Audiobooks

You can use your Highland Library Card and pin to check out free ebooks and e-audiobooks through the Beehive Library Consortium (Libby) or TumbleBooks (for children). Check out our e-book page for more information.
