The Utah State Developmental Center (USDC) owns the 112 acres of property south of LPHS. Recently, the USDC Board voted to sell the land to Boyer company to develop. USDC plans on using the proceeds from the sale to fund the Center long term.
The Boyer company is currently preparing a mixed use development plan for the property. Initial plans include a mix of residential products including town-homes, senior communities, small single family lots, and large single family lots as well as space for commercial, retail, or offices.
Originally, a Planning Commission and City Council Joint Work Session on the project was scheduled for February 12. That has been rescheduled and Boyer will be presenting their revised development plan at the February 19 City Council Meeting.
