Melvin Alonzo and Vonda Tanner Forbush:  Melvin was born March 28, 1900 to Alonzo S and Cadie Vance Forbush in Monroe, Utah.  Vonda was born August 30, 1903 in Monroe, Utah to Parley William and Ida Geneva Tanner.  They had nine children: Kenton (who died at birth), Lucille, Betty, Irene, Bonnie, Maurice, Morgan, Mack and Milton.            

They moved to Highland (#89 on the 1958 Highland map - interactivelarger - 9998 N 6000 W) in the early 1950’s and Mack and Milt were the only children who participated in community and Church activities.  They both danced in the 1952 Gold & Green Ball floorshow.  Mack served in the Army from 1954-57and served a mission to the Swiss-Austrian Mission in 1957-59.  After a few years they built a new home (#90 on the 1958 Highland map - interactivelarger - 9695 N 6000 W) where they lived the remainder of their lives.  Vonda died January 10, 1966 in Provo and Melvin married Maralta Dickinson Talbot on November 17, 1973. Melvin died May 23, 1975, also in Provo.  They are buried in the Monroe City Cemetery.  Maralta was born December 11, 1903 in Panguitch, Utah to Isaac Hyrum and Bertha Hatch Dickinson.  She died May 11, 1989 and is buried in Panguitch.
