Fern and Lisle met in 1923 and were married March 19, 1924, in the Salt Lake Temple.  They had two children: Kendall Lisle, who lived only a few days, and Melba Fern, known as Sammie.  They lived in various places: Milford, Utah, American Falls, Idaho, Saratoga, Utah, Highland, Utah (#12 on the 1958 Highland map), Valair, Montana and Orem, Utah, then in 1944 purchased a home in American Fork where they lived the remainder of their lives.
