Liston, Lockwood, Long

Murcel Don and Coraleigh Diderickson Liston:  Don was born November 23, 1938, in Escalante, Utah to Murcell Dollbell and Elvera Matilda Gregerson Liston.  Coraleigh was born May 28, 1935, in Brigham City, Utah to DeLawn Lewis and Leola Bernice Nelson Diderickson.  Don was in the Army from December 31, 1957, until December 8, 1960.  He and Coraleigh were married December 28, 1958, and sealed in the temple on December 8, 1960, the day he was discharged. 
They bought a home in Highland (#75) and added on over a period of twenty years and they lived there until the late ‘80’s, when they started traveling.  They sold the home in 2006.  They had four children: Troy, Dawn, Jodi, and Niki.  Don Died May 15, 2009, in Pleasant Grove, Utah; Coraleigh died December 2, 2017, in Monroe, Utah and they are buried in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.

William Merritt Bliss and Mina Ellen Lewis Lockwood:  Bliss was born Sept 28, 1905, in Burley, Idaho to William Sheldon and Luticia Isabella Kempton Day.  Mina was born October 18, 1904, in Woodland, Utah to James and LaVina Leffler Lewis.  They moved to Highland (#40 on the 1958 Highland map) in about 1930 and lived here for five years. They had two children: Keith and Max.
The children went to Harrington and American Fork High Schools and remember some of the celebrations held in Highland.  Mina's oldest brother, Reuben, and his wife, Rita, lived with their parents for a while (#83 on the 1958 Highland map) then moved in with the Lockwoods.  Mina was a Sunday School teacher in Highland in 1932 - 34.
They moved to American Fork in 1935 and Bliss became a bishop for a long time and was also a Stake High Councilman and a State Highway Patrolman.
They were divorced and Mina married Oscar Bohn and had two more children: Stanley and Diane.  She later married Ray Cavaness.  She died November 6, 1970, in American Fork.
Bliss married Norma Winona Newbold and had three more children.  He died May 11, 1965, in Vallejo, California.

Robert William Jr. and Lucy McArthur Long:  Robert was born February 19, 1906, in Ogden, Utah to Robert William Sr. and Rachel Rebecka Danks Long, older brother of Mildred Long Morse (q.v.).  In 1910 he was living in Echo, Utah and in 1920 in Ogden.  Lucy was born August 26, 1913, in Paradise, Utah to John Obray and Pearl Maria Anderson McArthur.  In 1930 she was living in Marion, Idaho. 
They were married June 5, 1932, in Weber, Utah and they came to Highland before 1935 and stayed beyond 1940.  Robert worked many years at the Utah Poultry Co-op (now IFA) in American Fork.  They had two children: William Robert and Ronald J.    Robert died January 13, 2000, and Lucy died February 25, 2004.  They are buried in the Ogden City Cemetery.
