Joseph Newell and June Erickson Sargent:  Joseph was born September 2, 1903, in Cumberland, Wyoming to Joseph Andrew and Betsy Bell Sargent and the family soon moved to Hoytsville, Utah.  He and June were married on March 7, 1928, in Logan, Utah.  She was born June 20, 1909, in Beaver Dam, Utah to Michael Christian and Ethel May Durfey Erickson. 
They moved to Highland in 1935 where June was a Sunday School teacher in 1938 and was Primary president for a while.  They had four children: Sandra, Michael J., Kathryn June, and Julie Ann.  In 1942 when Joseph registered for the draft, they were living in Grace, Idaho and he worked for UP&L.  Joseph died June 4, 1987, in Logan and June died June 5, 2005, in Logan and they are buried in the Beaver Dam Cemetery.
