Samuel Charles and Roselle Elnora Higgins Nay: The Nay family lived in Highland for quite a few years ca. 1940’s - 60’s and lived in three different homes, according to references: #96, #99 and #100. Samuel was born April 7, 1913, in Circleville, Utah to William Dolphin and Alice Malinda Hunt Nay. Roselle was born July 23, 1918, in Monroe, Utah to John William and Hulda Elnora Peterson Higgins.
They were married July 10, 1939, and in 1940 were living in Elsinore, Utah. They had six children: Theron, John Charles, Sammy Donnell, Jerald, Ronnie, and Arlene. The only reference found for the time frame they lived here (other than my memory) is that Donnell was a twelve year old, graduating from Primary in 1959. Both Sam and Roselle died in Vernal, he on September 30, 1985, and she on May 16, 2001, and they are buried in the Vernal Memorial Park.
