Lloyd Albert and Ester Mary Holland Bennett: Lloyd was another Utah Power and Light employee who worked and lived at the power plant (#71) in American Fork Canyon. Lloyd was born November 6, 1895, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Thomas J. and Catherine Patterson Smith Bennett. Ester was born December 15, 1897, in Grant, Idaho to Joseph and Harriet Daniels Brown Holland.
In 1917, when he registered for the WWI draft, Lloyd was living in Shelley, Idaho and working for a lumber company. Lloyd and Ester married November 21, 1923, in the Salt Lake Temple and they had three children: Lloyd Dean, Boyd H., and Bonnie. By 1930 he was working for a light and power company in Shelley, Idaho where they also lived in 1935. Before 1940 they moved to Highland and he worked for Utah Power and Light for a total of 47 years, dying November 30, 1971, in American Fork. Ester had passed away February 3, 1962, in Provo, Utah and they are buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Shelley, Idaho.
