Park Pavilion Reservations
The Park Pavilion Reservation Calendar opens up each year on the first business day of January (January 2, 2018) at 8:00 a.m.  Please go to the Park Pavilion Reservation page for more information.

Christmas Tree Pick-Up
Republic Services will provide curbside Christmas Tree pick-up on January 10, 2018. Please have all trees at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Monday morning and leave it out through Friday. Trees must be placed at the curb and all lights, stands, and decorations must be removed and trees should not be placed in any type of bag. If your tree was not picked up, please contact Republic Services at (801) 785-5935.

Easter Egg Hunt & Cookie Decorating!
The annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt & Cookie Decorating will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018! Come join the Youth City Council at 9:30 a.m. at Heritage Park (5381 W 10400 N) for the Easter Egg Hunt. Then come to the pavilion to decorate cookies with the Highland Arts Council. It’s going to be so much fun! This year we have over 8,000 stuffed eggs!!  Come prepared for the weather and bring your Easter Baskets.

April
Spring Clean-Up

The annual Highland City Spring Clean-Up will take place April 20-21 from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. at the parking lot at the mouth of the American Fork Canyon.

Dumpsters will be available so you can dispose of metal, wood, and household waste. No green waste or hazardous waste will be accepted. Scouts and other groups are welcome to help city crews during this time and earn community service hours! If you are interested in volunteering, contact Julie Tapusoa at or 801-772-4507.

Green Waste should be taken directly to Timpanogos Special Service District. More information at http://bit.ly/2FP1Txd.

Household Hazardous Waste should be taken directly to the Utah County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day. More information at http://bit.ly/2ICsoDN.

Arbor Day

Arbor Day Tree Sale and Planting Project is held at the end of April each year (April 28, 2018). Please visit the Arbor Day page for more details.

Hooked on Fishin'
The Hooked on Fishing program focuses on educating youth (6-13 years old) about fishing and aquatic resources. The program is held on Thursday evenings in May each year. Please go to the Hooked on Fishing page for more information and to sign up to be a fishing instructor.

Highland City Community Open House
  • The Highland City Community Open House will be held on May 3, 2018 from 5-8 pm at the City Hall. You'll get to:
  • Give feedback about the 2018-2019 Budget
  • Learn about: Road Projects, Dry Creek Lake, and Development of Longhorn Property, Recycling, and Elections.
  • Get information on: Library Programs, Fling, Arts Council Classes, City Beautification, the Historical Society, and Volunteer Opportunities.
  • Meet Elected Officials and City Staff
  • Enjoy Kids Activities and Giveaways

Highland City Fling is a week-long City celebration with activities starting on the last Saturday in July leading up to our big celebration on the first Saturday of August (July 29-August 5, 2017).  Events include: Highland Games, Baby Contest, Art Show, Kids Activities, Movie in the Park, Youth Dance, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run, Family Adventure Race, Disc Golf Tournament, Parade, Inflatables, Vendor booths, Local Entertainment, Fireman's Spray, Fireworks & more! Pumpkin Walk
Come to Highland City's annual pumpkin walk. Hundreds of expertly carved pumpkins will be on display.  Amateur carving and decorating contest  is new this year!  Bring your pumpkins between 2:00pm - 5:00pm on Oct 29th for entry.  Winners announced Oct 30th at 6pm.  Free Hot Chocolate & Cookies provided by Meiers!  Halloween movies hosted by the Library.  The event will take place in the Town Center Splash Pad. October 29th & 30th 2018 6:30 - 9:30 PM

Senior Citizen's Appreciation Dinner
The Highland Youth City Council invites all Senior Citizen's 60 & over to the annual Young At Heart Appreciation Dinner. This event will be held on October 25, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Highland City Hall.  The menu will have a Mexican theme and the menu will be posted soon.  This is a FREE event for Highland Seniors.  RSVP encouraged, but not required to 801-772-4507 or

Youth City Council Service Project - Sub for Santa
During the months of November and December the Youth Council will be hosting a Sub for Santa Project.  More details coming soon.

Christmas Crafts Day with Santa
The Highland Arts Council and Youth City Council invites Santa to come to the Community Center (NEW LOCATION in 2018) 5378 W 10400 N, Highland, UT 84003 on the first Saturday of December (December 1, 2018) each year from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. During this time the Arts Council will be hosting the Children’s Christmas Crafts Day with children’s craft projects ranging from free - $1.50 per craft.

Youth City Council Service Project - Sub for Santa
During the months of November and December the Youth Council will be hosting a Sub for Santa Project.  More details coming soon.
